A series of short stop animation films created by the children from Years 1 to Year 6 who attended the 'Animate!' after school club in the Spring Term.
Our oldest pupils have important opinions about the world in which they live and the global issues that surround their lives. Their views about such controversial matters as crime, world poverty, animal cruelty, bullying, global warming etc. are expressed through their filmed documentary monologues in a sincere and heartfelt way. The focus throughout has been to improve the quality of their writing and their writing outcomes are extraordinary. Following a clear module structure, pupils worked in small production teams and after research, each team wrote their monologue and storyboard together before deciding, as individuals, to specialise in tasks either in front of or behind the camera lens. The resulting monologues are powerful and deserve to be seen.

A short film by Peterbrook News showing the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg to Peterbrook Primary School on Friday 27th January 2012. The purpose of the visit was to discuss how we as a school, use the Government's 'Pupil Premium' funds to support the learning progress of all children, with a particular focus on those pupils eligible to receive Free School Meals.
As a school, we are judged continuously by the Government and by Solihull MBC as to our status as an 'outstanding' school. We are scrutinized thoroughly regarding our Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) provision and so we thought that we'd create a new kind of school prospectus - a video prospectus, created in partnership with our pupils, which said what they wanted to say about their school and which reflected our SMSC values. The result is this short video which is really our school ethos in action. We hope you are as pleased with it as our pupils are.
Peterbrook TV presents the Junior Mastermind Final for 2011. Once every two years, pupils in Year 5&6 volunteer to be put through the most difficult series of knowledge challenges as they undertake the Peterbrook version of Mastermind. Having joined the Junior Mastermind Club, each pupil has to learn a huge amount of information about the world they live in. Knowledge sheets on 8 countries, lists of capital cities - continent by continent - and a world fact sheet related to physical and climate characteristics are just a part of the challenge!! Add to this the research each pupil undertakes in compiling their specialist subject area and you begin to realise that this is no ordinary extra-curricular club. Working against the clock, against a backdrop of a huge audience of their peers, theatre lights and film cameras, our pupils respond amazingly and deserve their awards and special trophy for the winner!!
NEW for next autumn - we will be introducing, for the first time, 'Mini-Mastermind Club' for pupils in Year 1&2 who wish to participate in this knowledge challenge - see you then!!
Peterbrook Choir presents a medley of wonderful songs as once again we joined thousands of other children at the annual Young Voices Concert at the LG Arena!! What a wonderful night!!
